- Fifteen proposals were received by the October 2, 2026 deadline. Each Bid Item, and each of the two Bid Item 1 groups, was scored separately on cost (35 points); approach, staffing, work plan, and schedule (30); experience, qualifications, and references (25); and local workforce (10). Awards are made on a best-value basis, not lowest price.
- Bid Items 1A, 2, 4, 5, and 6 go to the highest-scored proposal. For Bid Items 1B, 3, and 7, YWI selected the second-ranked proposal, weighing price, contractor capacity and scheduling across the project, and proposed changes to YWI's contract terms.
- The YWI Board of Directors approved the awards on October 14, 2026.
- This notice reflects an intent to award and does not constitute contract execution. Following completion of required documentation, including proof of current insurance and, for Bid Items that include burning, state (OSFM) burn boss certification, YWI will finalize the awards.
- Work is targeted to begin in November 2026, with Notices to Proceed issued by Bid Item once landowner right-of-entry agreements for the applicable parcels are confirmed.
